 Purvis Antique Tractor Pull Assiociation

  • Stock unaltered farm tractors pulling from a factory draw bar in low gear only.  With farm type tires & wheels to the manufacturers specifications.
  • Open to tractor series in production 1960 & older.
  • No removal of parts on the farm stock tractors will be allowed. (Ex. battery, starter, air cleaners). If the power take-off hydraulics system are removed, they must have a steel cover in place.
  • Tractors must maintain stock appearance. (NO ENGINE MODIFICATIONS)
  • Rear tires are limited to farm type. No Radials or cut tires.
  • You are allowed two tire sizes up or down. (Ex. 12-4-28 can run 14-9-28) from factor size on tractor.
  • No dual wheels, four wheel drives, steel wheels, and no crawlers.
  • Tractors must have factory bolt on draw bar & left in factory location.
  • Hitch no higher than 18" and no closer that 18" from center of rear hubs.
  • Drawbar must be stationary in all directions.
  • Tractor may use factory bolt on wheel weight for make of tractor or water in tires. No suitcase weights.
  • Pull in first gear, except tractor with creeper gear may pull in second. Torque amplifier can not be used in Farm Stock.
  • No more than 10% over stock RPM per Nebraska Test Hi Idle. No Governor Overrides!
  • Tractors must maintain stock ignition system (straight exhaust acceptable)
  • No alcohol or methanol fuels in tractors or drivers.
  • All pullers required to sign Liability Waiver.
  • The pull ends when flagman waves red flag.
  • NO SNATCH STARTS ALLOWED. Must start with tight chain.
  • Rule violators may pull, but will not recieve awards.
  • Driver must remain seated with one hand on steering wheel at all times.
  • Puller is responsible to provide proof of tractor eligibility.

Farm Stock Plus

All Rules above with these modifications:

  • RPM's, up to 20% over allowed.
  • Non stock hitches (still 18" & 18")
  • First, second, & third gears allowed. Torque amplifiers can be used.
  • Electric ignitions.
  • Suitcase or hanging weights.

Tractor & safety officials have the authority to enforce rules as stated herein  & to disqualify any tractor for violations or unsafe conditions. If any participant wishes to protest the decision of any track official, he shall make his protest at the registration building prior to the beginning of the next class. The Rules Commitee shall oversee all track officials; interpret all rules, oversights, or unforseen problems with their rulings being final.
